Michael Shanklin, Senior Advisor

Michael Shanklin, a former US Marine Corps officer and CIA veteran, is a leading expert in corporate security and a consultant to such corporate clients as Pirelli, Western Wireless, Argus International, and Jefferson & Waterman International. His knowledge on anti-terrorism, international threat assessment and crisis management is widely sought.

Mr. Shanklin was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran and member of the Special Forces, receiving a battlefield commission for leadership in combat. He designed a Marine Corps counter-intelligence program to identify threats to operations that is still widely used today. Mr. Shanklin served as chief of operations for U.S. and allied forces during Operation Restore Hope – the U.S. peacekeeping operation in Somalia from 1992-93, and was the national intelligence support team chief to NATO Southern Command at a critical stage of the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
